Yoga Challenge 108 Sun Salutation
I did this project for the summer solstice practice of 108 Surya Namaskar in collaboration with Yoga Center (Barcelona)
The sequence is a ritual involving the power of femininity (moon) / masculinity (sun) while doing the sun salutation for 108 times.
That's why I loved being part of this project by drawing the people who were going to perform the ritual.
The Sun Salutation sequence is designed to create "tapas" or internal heat that cleanses the body.
And the "mandala" or circular pattern of postures brings us into a state of movement-centered meditation.
Inner heat and movement-centered meditation allow us to let go of unnecessary layers of thought, emotions or physical baggage.
By letting go of these layers, we allow our full potential and highest ideals to emerge.
